AcademiaXR

Your child has ideas. The world needs builders.

AI is reshaping every industry. Most kids are being prepared to consume it — not create with it. AcademiaXR is where young people get real mentorship, and start shipping real projects.

Mission statement

To ignite creativity, community, and collaboration in young people — by building an exploratory space where tinkering and creating aren't just encouraged, they're the whole point.

Our approach is inspired by the four P's

Passion

Passion-driven projects start here. You pick what you build — when the idea is yours, the motivation takes care of itself.

Play

Play as process is real learning. Tinkering, experimenting, and breaking things on purpose — that's not wasted time, that's how it sticks.

Peer

Peer-powered growth happens fast. Build alongside others who get it — collaboration sharpens your thinking in ways solo work never can.

Projects

Projects that ship are the goal. Walk away with something real, working, and yours — not a homework assignment, a portfolio piece.

Your mentor

Taught by someone who ships.

AcademiaXR is led by a developer with hands-on experience delivering real projects to clients — across web, MR, VR, and AR. Every lesson comes from the field, not a textbook.

Q & A

Answers to the questions we hear most from families.

The program is designed for students roughly ages 12–18. Reach out if your student is outside that range and we'll have an honest conversation about fit.

No. The pipeline is built around problem-solving and project ownership — not technical prerequisites. Students at all skill levels are welcome as long as they're willing to learn.

Students should expect to invest a few hours per week — including their check-in session, project work, and community participation. The more they put in, the more they get out.

Demo Day is a live virtual event where each student presents their project to a panel of industry professionals. They'll walk through their problem, their solution, and what they learned — then take questions and feedback.
